Monday Motivator

Good Morning

Have you ever asked yourself, “what do I know?”

The next question that might pop up after a piece of information bubbles to the surface would be, “how do I know that?”.

I feel positive that if you asked yourself those two questions you would never come to the end of your knowledge. Because, as you ask yourself those questions you would then know something else and then something else that would be the result of adding those two pieces of information together.

But the interesting thing about this is that you would get to pieces of information that you would not know where you got them from. There are experiments by Quantum Physicists that show at a Quantum level everything is connected by potential. Now I’m not a Quantum Physicist but to me that rings true and I’m thinking it is from this place we must collect that information we don’t know how we know.

So what does this mean to you on a Monday morning? Apart from, “Come on Glenn it’s Monday. Do I have to think this hard?”.

You have more influence than what you think you do. You are more than you think you are.

And, as we start another week of a new year I would like you to start thinking about how much you’ve achieved last year. Take a minute now. Write 3 things down.
1.
2.
3.

I can tell you that you’ve done great and I’m really looking forward to seeing what you can do in 2020!

Best regards,
Glenn Edley

P.S. When you’re ready, here’s a couple of ways I can help:

  1. To kick the year off I’m reducing my consulting fees by 70% for 5 people in January. This is an offer you’ll easily get past the boss. 5 people only. Reply and I’ll get you the details.

Good Morning

I love inspiring views that I can recall time and time again to give me a lift by reminding the sky is always blue above the clouds.

For example, I once had the opportunity to view the North Island from 16,000ft as I flew to and from Palmerston North.

What an amazing sight. Out one window you can see mountains, with lots of snow and beautiful lakes, and out the other window, green ocean and Mt Taranaki, cloudless in the morning sun. Fantastic.
A quick photo out the window locks it in. But what I find works best to lock a view in is looking for small details in the scenery. I find I am suddenly paying a lot more attention to what I’m seeing.

Try it next time you’re driving. Your attention to the road ahead will sharpen as you pick out things you’d never usually see as you rush by.

This week look for the small details and you will find you are taking in a lot more than you would have thought possible. Smiling helps :)

Have a successful week.

Glenn Edley

Do you ever ask yourself, “How did I get here?”

Monday Motivator

Greetings!

Do you ever ask yourself, “How did I get here?”

Quick digression. I can’t say that without hearing it in David Byrne’s voice

So, recently, I did and it was very interesting – for me. I could pinpoint events that totally changed the course of my life. Events that mean I can see my life as distinct chapters of generally five years or so.

This was a great exercise because it became very clear to me that the choices I make and the attitude I had clearly sent me in one direction or another.

An example would be joining the Air Force and another would be leaving the Air Force. Both of these events had huge effects on my life. The first meant I left home at 18 and moved to the other end of New Zealand. The second made it easy for me to get a job because I had a range of skills, turned up on time, and worked hard.

Your decisions today do affect your life tomorrow and this exercise makes that very clear. By looking ahead to where you want to be you can decide the path you will have to take to get there. Then as you make decisions think about whether this choice keeps you on the path and is going to get you there. Maybe do it every so often as it will keep you on track to the life you want.

Have a wonderful day.

Best regards,
Glenn Edley
