Today’s minimotivator on being stronger where we break

Ernest Hemingway

Today’s minimotivator.

The world breaks
everyone and afterward
many are strong in the
broken places.

– Ernest Hemingway

The Japanese have taken this idea to its limit with Kintsugi. The art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold. The idea is to embrace the flaws and imperfections and create a stronger, more beautiful piece of art.

That is how we should look at our breaks, our flaws and our imperfections. As we put ourselves back together we can imagine we are doing it gold. Self-knowledge is that gold.

Once back together, and you can get back together, you will have created a stronger more beautiful you.

How fucking cool is that picture in your head right now?
