Recently I was looking into certain decisions I’d made. Decisions that I could have easily at the time not made but made the completely opposite decision and why I made them.
I hope you follow that…
So, decisions like why I didn’t do x or why I didn’t go to y.
What occurred to me then is I never want to have to be looking over my shoulder.
And I realised that to me that is freedom – real freedom.
Not having to look over my shoulder for something or someone that will bite me on the bum in the future.
Is that fear? Yes. Fear of repercussions I have no control over how big they will get. Fear they could affect others around me.
Being married that sense of doing right by people was heightened. There was someone more important than me. Then we had kids. More responsibility.
So, I’m conscious of treating people how I would like to be treated. The Golden Rule as it were.
And I never have to look over my shoulder for my past sprinting at me ready to take me out.
That’s freedom for me.
What is freedom for you?
To your success this week.
P.S. I’ve spent the last year working with author and Psychology Coach Charles Donoghue on a program that I believe will change your life permanently. Find out about this exciting and new program at foundationprogram.co.nz.
